Overview
Medified was a Finnish digital health startup, founded by medical students in Tampere in 2019, that built a CE-certified mental health treatment monitoring platform — giving clinicians clinically validated, data-driven insight into patient progress and treatment outcomes.
We partnered with Medified to redesign both the patient-facing app and the admin platform, while also shaping their online digital visual identity. The product's data-first approach to mental health care, combined with its clinical credibility and refreshed design, caught the attention of Mindler, one of Europe's leading online mental health platforms, which acquired Medified in February 2022 to strengthen its treatment outcome measurement and deepen its data-driven care model across the markets it operates in (Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, and the UK).
Understanding yourself is a process of looking inward
The core symbol is a set of concentric circles — what I call the "Mood Arc." It's a visual metaphor for layers of self-awareness: the idea that understanding yourself is a process of looking inward, one ring at a time.
The form intentionally avoids the typical mental health clichés — no brains, no lotus flowers, no silhouettes. Instead, it's abstract enough to be ownable, but intuitive enough that it feels right. The progression from a dense teal core outward to soft, open rings mirrors the act of reflecting and opening up.
Crucially, it scales beautifully — from a 16px favicon to a full app splash screen, the mark stays legible and recognizable.

Balancing peace of mind with a strong mobile user experience means placing extra emphasis on ease of use and interaction design — with close attention to detail and a soft, gentle visual style.

A holistic approach that pairs a dedicated care team with AI-supported chat, designed for the days when energy and motivation are low. The interface is built to connect users with essential care as seamlessly as possible.

Admin funnel is designed with ease of use in mind, making early warning signs the top priority to protect user wellbeing and help admins spot risks and act before problems escalate.
