Overview
The Hub is a new platform from Streamr that makes it easy to find, share, and even earn money from live data. Think of it as a marketplace and search engine combined — anyone can browse real-time data streams (like sensor readings, blockchain activity, or app data), organize them into projects, and get paid for sharing useful data with others.
Some of the first projects on The Hub include a car company sharing real-time driving data(Dimo), and a tool that lets developers watch blockchain activity happen live. The bigger idea behind The Hub is to make real-time data as open and accessible as possible — something that's still rare, since most "open data" sources today (like government portals) only update occasionally rather than in real time.
Modular by Design
We gave the brand a refresh to make it feel lighter, then built that into a new site designed for a broader audience beyond just the technical Web3 crowd — striking a balance between technical sharpness and a friendly, approachable feel for the everyday user, with a modular design that makes updates easier going forward.

Browsing Data Like a Storefront
The Marketplace and Core apps, launched in 2018, needed a real overhaul — both visually and conceptually, since Streamr had grown far beyond "just a data marketplace" into the Internet's data protocol for serverless apps like thechat.app. The Hub was built to reflect that shift, designed as a true data marketplace where discovery feels natural: streams are bundled into projects — self-contained listings with their own metadata, registered on-chain — so browsing what others have built feels less like searching and more like scrolling a storefront, making data easy to find, compare, and use.

Creating and editing feel so intuitive, it's genuinely fun just to play around with the form.
